Surgery
The doctors are able to perform surgeries on the premises and care for pets both before and after surgical procedures. If surgery is recommended, a pre-surgical examination is performed to assess your pet's health and ability to have surgery. Additionally, blood tests, blood pressure reading, and intravascular fluids are recommended. Progressive Pet Animal Hospitals are pleased to be able to offer state-of-the art surgical equipment, including laser surgery. Laser surgery is associated with smaller incisions, faster and less dangerous surgery, less pain, and quicker recovery than traditional surgery. With eight facilities available, it is easy to meet the surgical needs of your pets.

- Ear flushing and surgical care
After surgery, pets are closely monitored by the doctors and staff. Most pets return home the same day; some stay until the next day. Round-the-clock monitoring is available at the local emergency care hospitals. In addition, the doctors maintain close relationships with surgical specialists in the area. These specialists either visit the Progressive Pet Animal Hospitals for consultations and surgeries, or if necessary, patients can be referred to local specialists for care.
